About Selecta Melbourne Cover Band
Introducing Selecta - one of Melbourne's most energetic and entertaining cover bands specialising in weddings, corporate functions and best of pub venues and parties. For now over ten years Selecta has been performing at venues in Melbourne and around country Victoria providing patrons with their unique brand of 70's 80's 90's and today's best rock, funk and dance covers. Selecta's philosophy is to keep the audience 'up and dancing' for your whole wedding event. Through their vast and varied song choices Selecta achieves this at every gig and is able to quickly adapt to suit many audiences tastes.
Having played at almost every different type of venue imaginable from pubs and nightclubs, to the back of flat bed trucks, and even venues such as the Melbourne Exhibition Building, Selecta are veterans of the Melbourne cover band scene. Selecta recently acquired a new singer and entertainer in Nikita Lee Vick, with Penny leaving us to pursue her radio career in NSW. Nikita brings her powerful voice and years of experience to the band.
Selecta is perfectly placed to cater for any audience, and is already synonymous with performing a great show. Some of Selecta's clients have even used them at their 18th and 21st birthday parties and their wedding! Selecta now has an even greater scope with a combination of female & male vocals to provide a vast range of great party songs.

The mixture of keyboards and guitar gives Selecta a wide selection of songs not currently seen in many of todays cover bands – covering songs right through from 70's disco, 80's retro, 90's pop, and today's best dance/rock tunes. Best of all the show is live, you get the great sound of a full band, far better than having a performer with a backing track - or even a DJ!
Selecta have an extensive and ever growing song list, allowing them to cater for any crowd or event - whether it be a pub / venue, wedding, party or corporate/private function. Many cover bands will play the same set show after show, by always adding new songs to their song list Selecta ensure the show will always be unique and entertaining and through their professionalism and onstage antics, will always engage and entertain any crowd for the entire performance.
